In the Main Hall the charm and scale of the original rooms remain. The
ground floor accommodation comprises an entrance leading into the large oak hall
with a grand staircase and carved fire place. Off this lies the fine
drawing room (which can have access to the formal gardens), billiard room
(including large-sized billiard table, library and TV), and dining room.
Behind these lie the kitchen and sculleries, laundry, boot and cloak
rooms. The main kitchen is thought to date back to 1630 and is one of the
oldest parts of The Hall. It is a large, working kitchen well equipped
with an oil-fired AGA, large electric cooker, commercial size stainless steel
fridge and table that will seat twenty four people. A freezer can be made
available on request. The laundry room is equipped with a washer and dryer
for the use of guests and there is a stereo provided in the main hall.
Central heating and hot water are supplied by an oil fired boiler.
One the first floor there are nine bedrooms, plus a further two rooms in the
Georgian flat, varying in size from small to very large. One bedroom has a
bathroom en-suite and the other bedrooms are served by three further bathrooms
and a seperate shower room. These are either new or recently modernized
and include marble floors and countertops designed and installed by resident
craftspeople. There is a further bedroom on the second floor of The Hall
at the foot of the tower.
